Word got out fast that I was making these little friends, and a friend of my husband asked for one for their baby. Even if the little bear sits quietly on a shelf looking over the nursery, I wanted it to be as safe as possible. I ordered safety eyes and plastic joints that click securely in place. I used the bronze mohair again and found that sewing along the lines is getting much easier for me as I practice. The challenge came in setting the eyes. Since the eyes need to lock in place, I had to put them in before I stuffed the head. It made situating them difficult even though I used pins to mark the spots. Needless to say, they aren't perfectly aligned. I don't like that. I also don't like the mouth, but I can fix that later. It's just a little too far to the left.

The finished bear. See the mouth?
